As an RTITB accredited partner, we help to change operator behaviour for the better and improve safety within warehousing and logistics operations through compliant training and testing that results in safe and efficient lift truck operators.
We deliver RTITB accredited courses that help our customers to improve compliance, reduce accidents and keep cost under control. RTITB Accreditation helps to prevent bad habits and shortcuts that may otherwise creep in over time, which may result in accidents and reassures companies of the quality of training delivered. Forklift Training Services have been providing our clients with professional on-site forklift training throughout the Northwest and Northern England for over 20 years and train operators on all types of Materials Handling Equipment.
Our highly professional qualified registered Instructors provide on-site training using the most modern methods and techniques delivering our training in a friendly and efficient manner, whilst still remaining professional at all times.
We offer training to all business types including warehouses, building sites, transport and manufacturing, and will tailor the course to meet the specific needs of the company and trainees.

Why is training required?
Every year approximately 8000 forklift truck accidents are reported to the HSE, a staggering amount , this figure represents 25% of all workplace accidents ie. 1 in 4 workplace accidents involve a forklift truck.
These accidents come in many forms , from damage to equipment and materials to minor injuries, serious injuries and even death to operators and employees. In the vast majority of cases operator error is to blame.
It is the responsibility of the Employer to provide effective training for their FLT operators under PUWER1998 and HSAWA 1974, this will increase safety and minimise the risk of accident whilst also improving the efficiency of the operator.
